Matthew 9:2 -
Some men brought to him a paralytic, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven."
Observations:
Jesus just had to see on those men that they believed. Their faith was more than enough to Him, to heal the paralytic. With this verse God teaches us, how powerful is the faith, that more than saving ourselves can save others. God healed the paralytic by forgiving his sins, teaching us that whoever is truly clean of spirit will be heal of body.
Application:
With this verse we can see one more time how good our God is. He is not as demanding as we might think. There is no way that God can ask for too much, based on all the things he has done and keep doing for us.
God knows what you need; he is just waiting for you to show Him that you believe in Him and in what He is capable of do with your life. Let’s put it like a little recipe:
If “God knows what you need” you add a little bit of “Believe He can give you what you need”, you will get “God will give you what you need”.
Prayer:
God we are a bunch of paralytics in this world, not because we can’t walk or move our extremities, but because we have our own sickness that keeps us from getting to You. Please give us strength to fight for our beliefs and let the world know that You existed and more than that you now live among us. Let it be our demonstration of faith, so we can be cured of our sickness and be able to get to You. Amen!
