Yesterday, The Pursuit had its second Celebration Service. This time, we did not have the help that we had last week to set up, so I was a little stressed about that. However, everyone in our team did an awesome job, and the setup was done quickly and without much problems (except for a kink or two). I was really happy with the way things went.
However, it all changed for me once the service started. There is just something special that happens every time people gather to learn about Jesus, and to sing and express things to Him. I love how some people know to sing and enjoy that time, and how there are others who are still learning. As the service went by, I delighted myself in what God has been doing. I was also glad that I could see people I know, people I have met recently, and people I did not know.
At 10:30am we began with the song "Me Enamora" by Juanes. Check out his video...
We chose it because it talks about falling in love, and the message was entitled "Love God - your heart was meant for this." The idea was that God pursues us with His Love because He is Love, and Matt did a great job communicating that! During the sermon, we also had Klara Chavarria express that message through painting. Klara is an amazing artist, and I found myself connecting the painting to the Big Idea all throughout the sermon. Soon I will reveal her work from that day (check out her work at www.klarachavarria.com).
I mention all of this not to brag or anything like that. To me, this is an act of God. I am not worthy to see any of this happening, and I do not deserve to be loved by Him in such a way. It truly is an honor to be a part of His work, and to see lives being changed. Just seeing one life changed for eternity is an amazing reward! Our goal is to show Christ's love to all the people we've come in contact with, whether through our celebration services, our community groups, our every-day lives, or all of the above!
Hey there I was one of the visitors on Sunday and I loved that song. I actually loved that it was a bilingual service. I pray that God continue to unleash His power through those who are part of your worship team and YOU who have to be "on" every Sunday from now on. Todo estaba bien bueno. Gracias por tu servicio. See you next Sunday.

Thanks to you I had to buy this CD. I already thought Juanes was a great musician, but thinking of this song in relation to God took it over the top. Awesome. Keep it up, and don't forget that you are inspiring people everywhere - even here in cold, snowy Indy!
