The other day I saw on Phil Hughes' blog (he's a starting pitcher for the Yankees) a device where you can see where in the world people live who read his blog. The larger the dot the more readers from the area.
I added it a couple days ago and already I'm seeing dots pop up from all over the globe. I can still remember when I was 13 how cool it was to have a pen pal from another country. The world is connected in ways never dreamed of just 15 years ago.
