Any guest who comes to The Pursuit will observe the Bible matters and is relevant to our lives today. God is timeless and so is the book He authored. Every week we give English and Spanish Bibles away. The messages taught each week come from the Bible not from any other place. I have made it a personal commitment to NOT put all Scripture on the screen but ask people to find the main text of the message in their Bibles.
I am so excited and ready to get into our new series, Eat this Book, which starts this Sunday, May 4 and ends May 18.
The prophet Jeremiah says this to God, "When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight." (15:16)
Job says, "I have treasured the words of His (God's) mouth more than my necessary food." (23:12)
What would it look like if we as individuals consumed the Word of God and allowed ourselves to be changed by it?
Our dog, Jeter, is taking this message WAY TOO LITERALLY! I found my Bible in the middle of the floor yesterday with a big bite taken out of Genesis! I can't make this stuff up!
Way to go, Jet!
